MERBAU is prized for its beautiful, deep reddish-brown color, bold grain, and remarkable hardness, making it one of the strongest, most durable hardwoods for exterior purposes, superior to cedar. It rates 5-star for resistance to rot, insects & termites, fire, and moisture, with an average lifespan of 40 -75 years. It is superior to cedar and is low maintenance.
